AC3 features have been revealed

As we have seen the trailer, this game takes place in the American civil war. The environment has also changed; In the previous Assassin's creed games, you would climb on the taller buildings and hitting the view point button from there. But here, you will climb and parkour on the tree tops. Climbing on the tree tops also offers stealth advantages unlike in older games which you would have to contend with the guards on the roof.

The details that I have provided are not enough; so I want to show you guys what I found on news feeds about the AC3.

The complete details from "PSX Extreme":

  • Guilds don't appear in the game anymore, sorry guys.
  • The game has the span of 20-30 years.
  • The economy system is "hunting" no more renovations like the previous ones.
  • Leap of Faith hasn't changed yet.
  • Seasonal changes
  • The weather has huge impact; for example, moving through the blizzard can be difficult.
  • You have side kicks.
  • The land of AC3 is much bigger than Rome in ACB.
  • A new combat system like human shield and throw the enemy to their comrade.
  • Connor will partake in the historical battles and see the thousand-man battle.
  • Thanks to 'AnvilNext' Engine, the characters movements are much more smooth and natural.
  • Connor will be able to access latest plethora of firearms, swords, maces, knives in additional to hidden blade and Tomahawk

Trailer gameplay of Rainbow six: Patriots

A lot of "fans of Tom Clancy games" (I'm one of them) have been expecting the latest installment, so Ubisoft released the sneak preview of Rainbow Six: Patriots.

By judging the video, it looks like a clone of Heavy Rain with tactical action of previous R6 games and Ghost Recon. I hope they don't mess this up.

The footage does confirm few familiar basic gameplay:

  • First-person gameplay with certain moments and cover done in third-person.
  • Full tactical display with squad control options and enemy tagging.
  • Tech not dissimilar to Ghost Recon.
  • Multiple perspectives/characters mid-mission
  • Lively environments with NPC civilians.
